Peloton Class List: Top 50 Music Countdown (Tracker Updated Annually)
The last few months of each year are filled with some of my favorite Peloton class series: Halloween classes, Turkey Burn classes, the new Countdown to Turkey Burn series Peloton rolled out in 2025, Holiday classes, and – at the end of each calendar year – the Top 50 Music Countdown class series.
Unlike other class series, the Top 50 Music Countdown features one identical playlist across all workout types (modalities) each day. In other themed series, playlists are built around a central artist, album, or concept but won’t necessarily be identical; in the Top 50 Countdown, the exact same songs are played in the same order, no matter which modality you choose.
The Top 50 Music Countdown class series is a highlight for me because the playlists include popular hits from the current year, recent years, and classics. The instructors say the name of the song and the artist, and usually will share some tidbit about the song, like awards it has won or whether it was a top song in a certain year. They’re a great way to stay active between Christmas and New Year’s; I usually do the Run classes outside instead of on the treadmill since we’re typically traveling that week.

Top 50 Music Countdown FAQs:
What is the Peloton Top 50 Music Countdown class series?
The Top 50 Music Countdown class series is a series of Peloton classes dedicated to the 50 most-liked songs on Peloton throughout the year, calculated using metrics, including how often:
- classes were liked by members
- instructors played the songs in their classes
How are the Top 50 Music Countdown Peloton classes structured, and how many classes are released each year?
On each of the 5 days after Christmas, Peloton releases 5 classes a day with identical playlists in a countdown-type format:
- December 26th – songs #50-41
- December 27th – songs #40-31
- December 28th – songs #30-21
- December 29th – songs #20-11
- December 30th – songs #10-1
The classes are released for five modalities: Bike, Run (Tread), Rowing, Strength (Full Body with Dumbbells), and Yoga. So, in total, there are 25 classes in the series – 5 days x 5 modalities, but again, only five playlists – since each day has an identical playlist across all class types.
How can I find Peloton’s Top 50 Music Countdown classes?
The Top 50 Music Countdown classes can be found a few different ways:
- In the typical “Classes” section in the On-Demand Library
- In “Collections”, there is a Top 50 Music Countdown collection
- In the Live & Encore Schedule, the classes will have Encores scheduled throughout the week at specific times. This is a fun way to do the classes with a big group of people
How I took the 2025 Top 50 Music Countdown classes
This year, I spaced the Top 50 Music Countdown classes out a bit since I was traveling – I stacked the first two runs but ran outside on a trail instead of on a treadmill, then a few days later I did the third class as a ride, and then once I was home from my holiday travels I stacked the last two rides. My favorite class was Leanne’s #20-#11 because 1) Leanne is a fantastic Peloton instructor and 2) I liked the playlist the best.
Do I need Peloton equipment to take these Peloton classes?
Nope! These classes are available to anyone with an active Peloton membership – whether you own a piece of their equipment and have the All-Access membership, or if you’re paying for the Peloton app subscription.
Which instructors are teaching the Top 50 Music Countdown Peloton classes?
For the 2025 Top 50 Music Countdown series, Peloton chose 25 different instructors – so odds are high that your favorite instructor is teaching one of them.
Some highlights of the Top 50 series for 2025:
- Leanne recorded one of the classes before she started her maternity leave at the end of November – seeing her in the lineup was a fun surprise
- Callie recorded one of the classes, even though she’s in Florida most of the time
- Greta Dopp, a new Peloton yoga instructor, is instructing one of the classes – she’s the only new instructor to be featured
- Cody, one of the most popular Peloton instructors, is instructing the #10-1 playlist on the Bike
Below is the Peloton class tracker for the Top 50 music countdown series from 2025 – I’m planning to update this annually. Let me know if you’d like me to create trackers for any other Peloton class series!
