Best Peloton Classes – Fall 2023
Here’s the recent Peloton news I found most exciting before I get into the Peloton classes I loved from September, October, and November:
- There will be Kelly Clarkson classes in December
- Peloton is rolling out “goals” on the app that you can set each week based on number of active days, total time spent in classes, or number of workouts
- Hannah F and Tunde were announced as new Power Zone instructors
- The Peloton Tread+ is coming back very soon and will be just under $6,000
- There’s a new auto-follow feature being tested for Power Zone classes – it auto-adjusts the resistance in Power Zone classes to keep you in the right zone based on the cadence you’re going
- Entertainment is out of Beta testing mode and is now an official feature, so we can watch TV shows and moves on the screen
- Callie is releasing a Soundtrack Strength Club series with playlists (and her outfits!) from favorite movies like The Princess Diaries, Mean Girls, etc.
- Peloton did a 1989 (Taylor’s Version) series and it was amazing
- Peloton rolled out target metrics on the app during classes, like incline and speed call-outs in Tread workouts, and stroke rate call-outs in Rowing workouts
- The font on the Bike, Tread, and Row screens changed slightly. (Dom thought I was crazy but I did notice it was slightly different)
- Three limited edition colorful versions of the Bike+ were released
- Jess Sims released a class with Oprah and Gayle
- Callie announced she’s pregnant
- Peloton accidentally posted a rehearsal row workout from Ben, so it seems like he’ll be teaching rowing classes soon. (I kind of expected them to announce him by now since they accidentally posted the rehearsal in September, but nothing official yet)
I didn’t take as many classes this fall as I have in other seasons, but there were a few classes that were too good not to share. Let me know if I missed any!
Favorite Rides
Tunde’s 30 min Power Zone Endurance – 11/26/23 – this was Tunde’s first Power Zone ride; I was really excited when they announced she was going to start teaching them. She did a great job and it was fun to see Matt and Mariana in the studio audience
Ally’s 30 min Feel Good Ride – 11/12/23 – I really look forward to each new Feel Good ride that Ally releases; they’ve quickly become one of my favorite kinds of classes. (I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t because she usually puts Taylor Swift in them – that definitely helps)
Ally’s 30 min 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Ride – 11/2/23 – This was a ton of fun because I’m a huge Taylor Swift fan; my only complaint was that there weren’t more vault songs included
Sam’s 10 min 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Cool Down Ride – 11/2/23 – Sam picked great songs from the album for a 10 minute class
Bradley’s 20 min Halloween Ride – 10/30/23 – Bradley’s always a little extra (in a good way), and that was especially fitting in this class. I was also incredibly impressed he kept the leather jacket on the whole time
Sam’s 15 min Pop Ride – 10/18/23 – A solid, quick ride with a great pop playlist
Bradley’s 20 min 2000s Pop Ride – 10/5/23 – This was a fantastic playlist
Bradley’s 20 min Pop Ride – 9/28/23 – A great ride that started with Taylor Swift, so no complaints from me
Kendall’s 20 min Pop Ride – 9/20/23 – Kendall isn’t usually my favorite because her metrics can get kind of crazy, but I had fun with this playlist and ride
Ally’s 30 min Feel Good Ride – 9/17/23 – Another great Feel Good ride
Tunde’s 20 min Pop Ride – 9/6/23 – An easier ride from Tunde (which isn’t common) with a great playlist
Callie Strength & Bootcamp Classes
Callie has become my go-to strength instructor; she’s a lot of fun, sticks to mostly typical moves, and makes the classes go by quickly.
Strength
20 min Arms & Shoulders – 11/25/23 – classic moves, short breaks, easy to make more difficult with heavier weights
20 min Soundtrack Strength Club – 11/13/23 – The Princess Diaries themed and a great upper body workout
20 min Glutes & Legs – 10/13/23 – This is a beginner class that is perfect to make more difficult up by using heavier weights
10 min Chest & Back – 10/6/23 – a quick class with all of the essential chest & back moves
15 min Core – 9/13/23 – just the right amount of burn in this one
30 min Katy Perry Full Body Strength – 9/9/23 – Part of the All for One festival; great combo of playlist and moves
10 min Glutes & Legs – 9/6/23 – A great quick leg workout to add on after cardio
Bike Bootcamps
30 min Bootcamp: Full Body – 10/24/23 – I really enjoyed the strength portion of this class
Other Strength Classes
Emma’s 5 min Core – 11/19/23 – this is a classic Emma core workout: quick, efficient, traditional core moves
Logan’s 30 min Upper Body – 10/29/23 – I usually avoid 30 minute strength workouts because they feel a little long, but I did this one since I was in the Halloween mood and Logan made it a ton of fun
Hannah C’s 10 min Barre – 8/28/23 – this was a great Barre workout I’ve been meaning to go back to; I feel like these really help strengthen my IT band which has given me trouble off and on since college
Rowing Classes
I have a Concept 2 rower that I use with the Peloton app on my iPad for the classes:
Matt’s 20 min 1989 (Taylor’s Version) Row – 11/2/23 – I really enjoyed his selections, and the first two songs made it on my Rowing playlist because they had a great tempo to row to
Ash’s 15 min Pop Row – 10/24/23 – a great playlist, and Ash always has good words of wisdom in her classes. I feel like I get a mini therapy session when I take them
Katie’s 10 min 2000’s Pop Row – 9/26/23 – a great pop playlist that made me glad I chose a rowing workout
New Favorite Stretches
I try to fit in a 5 minute stretch at least 3 days a week; these are the ones that I liked enough to bookmark to take again:
- Chrstine’s 5 min Post-Ride – 11/29/23
- Alex’s 5 min Post-Ride – 11/17/23
- Camila’s 5 min Post-Run – 11/16/23
- Hannah F’s 5 min Post-Ride – 11/3/23
- Ben’s 5 min Post-Ride – 11/1/23 (I maintain that Ben’s stretches are the best on the platform)
- Leanne’s 5 min Post-Ride – 10/25/23
- Bradley’s 5 min Post-Ride – 10/11/23
- Camila’s 5 min Post-Ride – 9/29/23
- Jenn’s 5 min Post-Ride – 9/27/23 – a 5 minute All Too Well to complete the set, since Ben did a 10 minute All Too Well stretch a few years ago. One of my friends and I have done Jenn’s new one at least five times since it came out
- Emma’s 5 min Post-Ride – 9/22/23 – I’ve done this one several times now because I love both songs
